98z28m6 and fof667, I have 1 question for the both of you only,
Q) Were you with me when I bought my car NEW?
A) NO, you were not.
For your information, the track I run at, most people do trap high at this track. Another friend of mine who has a near new '02 ws6 with a k&n ONLY and close to 9000 miles is also trapping 112-113.
I only just statred to mod my car because money was tight, I paid off my last car
1-1/2 years early to buy this car, then I busted my *** to pay off almost $20,000 in college tuition. Now I have some available money to play with.

Something doesn't seem right. I've only seen most stock cars trap
around 105, plus or minus a mph or 2, with ET's of low 13's.

What kind of air are you running in? I wanna go there!

I'd suggest practicing. You have the power (or real close to it) to get you into the 11s.

Last year I went from running 13.6 to 12.8 without doing a thing to my car, just practicing. Good luck!

Well , if "most people" trap high there , quess what . . . The MPH lights are probably a bit off. Maybe they are only 60 feet apart instead of 66 feet. Have you ever run your car at another track? Actually , it doesn't matter. If you run at the same track and they don't change anything , your improvement should show up. Were the conditions drastically different between your stock/modified runs? That could account for some of the problem. You said that the car was tuned , did you dyno it before and after the mods? A dyno is a very valuable tool when it comes to modifying a car. Part of it probably is your driving , which should get better with time. However , you'll probably see big gains with a good rearend (with at least 4.10 gears) and some sticky tires. If you need to go faster right now , you could put 3.73's in your stock rearend and those gears with the BFG drag radials should get you some 1.8 sixty foot times. I would consider that throwing your money away however , and you would definitely be on "borrowed" time.

When you come onto an LS1 site with a stock car that traps 3-4 MPH higher than the fastest stock LS1's ever reported, people are going to be skeptical. Your MPHs sound very G-Tech to me...I'm not saying they are though.
