mid tubes vs long tubes
I have a 99 firebird formula and it already came with Mac mib tube headers, I was thinking of getting a set of pacesetter long tube headers......do yall think there would be much of a hp gain?

you'll gain torque with the long tubes. They should make about the same peak HP. If you keep out of the gas the long tubes should increase your fuel milage.
The Macs are ok if they are in good shape. I ran them years ago. I did find that the long tube Pace setters were easier to install. They did give better clearence in the engine compartment over the Macs.

It is a bolt on car for now, but I have an ls6 intake, 243 heads, 42lb injectors, and a 2500 stall in the garage ready to be put on. I'm just trying to figure out what cam I want to run. I was thinking the tr224 would be perfect.

It should be a nice build. Like posted above a bigger stall for the track but with a 224 cam you could stay with a near stock one and make a nice DD. It will put down some good dyno #'s esp. with stock gears. I would say in the 400hp range.
A bigger stall, gears ?? and good tires would make it a strip hero. Then the parts breakage begins. LOL

Even for a daily driver I'd want a lot more stall for that cam, or any cam. Stock shift extension isn't even close to ideal for a stock cam, let alone something bigger. Idle tuning will also be more difficult with a stock/stockish stall and a 224 cam.
