Question What intake should i use??

Im buying some TF215cc heads and taking my 243 heads off and im running a comp .600 cam but thinking about going bigger and other supporting mods and 100 shot. Im thinking about running the fast 102 or keeping the ls6 intake on it. Any ideas??

Only thing about the ls6 intake is it doesn't take much of a nitrous pop to blow a chuck of it out! I would sell it and run some kind of a aluminum intake.

I know nitrous pops are not very common with a 100 shot but crap happens!!!

i have a bbk ssi intake manifold on my car. its aluminum. idk how i feel about it yet since its metal and supposedly can heat soak, but its a hell of alot better than my stock ls1 manifold. i would like to try out a fast though. but since i'm thinking about going turbo, i dont think i trust a composite intake manifold.

yeah i took the ls6 intake off and put the professional products typhoon intake on. It would be great for a boosted car i guess but its making my engine run hot so im taking it back off. So you guys saying go with the fast?

In short, on a head/cam car a BBK manifold will be worth a few, a FAST will be worth a few more.

Heatsoak??

The ls6 will run out of breath above 5500 to 6k. You will be leaving peak power on the table.

Between the bbk and fast is a toss up in this case, you will gain power across the board over the bbk with the fast, but one nitrous pop and it can ruin it. Safety or power in this case...

FAST will out down better numbers. The LS6 is great ported but still can't out flow the FAST

Stop with the porting nonsense. It has been proven time and time again that porting an ls6 intake is pointless...

If you are doing heads/cam I would recommend the FAST 102 if you have the coin for it. They are worth a solid 15rwhp over an LS6.

with your combo I would get a custom cam to get the most out of your top end parts.was the polluter designed for after market heads and a fast intake and NOS ?you mite want to shim up a fast intake to better match the TFS heads.
