Default Someone Help Please!!!

I obey the rules and post in the correct Sections (nitrous Oxide) and get no help what so ever... Over a 130 vies and not a single reply.

I always get lucky on the noob section, and this is a noob question regarding Nitrous.

Here is what i posted...

My ride has been tuned for the mods in sig... If i would to run a Dry nitrous shot, how much can I actually run without hurting the engine. My engine is healthy mechanically, and runs strong. Currently have ngk Tr55 spark plugs.

I'll be adding 2gal of 93octane, for every gallon of 101 unleaded octane fuel, to prevent detonation and pull a bit of timing.

Thanks in advance...

150 shot would be safe, i probably would it push it any more with a stock bottom end, you will need to go to a colder spark plug and just get it tuned using 93 octane, unless ever time you take it out your going to do the 93/101 mix.

I personally wouldn't run over a 100 shot without upgrading the fuel pump. Since you are already pushing 400 hp, i would at minimum upgrade the fuel pump, put in some ngk br7ef plugs, WOT switch and window switch. This setup should hold a 150 shot without too much trouble. I definitely recommend learning how to read plugs though.

I have a 224 like you and most other bolt ons. I'm getting my ride ready with a 150 direct port wet shot. I have TR55's as well but was told to have a set of BR7EF's for when I know I'm going to run the nitrous, then swap out the plugs, run some higher octane, and make sure you have all the other nitrous safety stuff like wot, window switch, bottle heater, and all that.

Thanks guys, I agree on a wet kit being better, but my friend is selling me his dry kit for 65 bucks, bottle alone is worth more than that i been told.
..
I was just seeing if with my current set up, i could run up to 100 dry shot. Just until i get the fuel solenoid, dual fogger, line, Etc...

I went from ac delco platinum to the ngktr55's, and wanted to run 100 today. But if its trouble to my car, due to stock fuel pump, not tune for spray, and only adding 101 race fuel. Then i wont do it... The install could take me 2-3 hrs.
The current jet is a 40, whice makes it a 75 shot, according to zex... If i can atleast run that without any problems to my current set up, i'll buy it and have it installed in no time.

Thoughts...

Since it's a dry kit, I would also log injector duty cycle to make sure your injectors can keep up. I would not run a 100 shot on tr55s. That is a projected tip plug and it is 1-2 heat ranges too hot. Make sure you pull enough timing too.

LMAO... I havent bought it yet, its a good deal IMO. Still N/A, and so tempted to add some spray. But regardless, Im taking every precaution these guys have mentioned.
I'll just save for everything else and then do the deed... You can run me tonight, while still in your HP range.
Have a couple of runs vs a 5.0 n Termi Cobra.

Pm if interested... I'll send you my number and location.
