Well I have to at least give him credit for get a better cam then the ls6, but the 224/224 114lsa will definitely be a better option!

OP, for a 224/224/581 114 Lsa, Like the one I have installed in my ride, you'll need a minimum of 3600 Stall to really feel both working together. I went a lil higher on the stall with a 3800 Vigilante. That combo alone with some bolt ons, and you are golden. The gears may not be too beneficial, but you'll still get some gains.

Got any Pics?...

it sounds like your choosing a remote tune by frost , from seeing his posts over the years on hp tuners forum he is very knowledgable in this platform, you will be in good hands.

Maybe before settling into a particular cam ask him for a recommendation - where he will be tuning it from a distance ( somewhat of an educated guess) if there is a similar cam to what you are choosing that he has tuned many times one would think it would be easier for him to tune what he allready has a lot of experience with.

also where you are looking to spray the car which is addictive by the way - you will want to increase the size of the shot later maybe inquire about his "dual flash" pcm which caters to people spraying - it will enable you to toggle between a nitrous tune and a normally aspirated tune

Same here, but generally the advice you'll get here is either get a 224 or the same cam the poster in running lol

Certainly the 224 cam is one of the best all around performers but does need
a tune to maximize. I just have a suggestion for a tune free AND juice happy
(more EX. timing) stick...http://www.engpwrsys.com/index.php?a...od&productId=4
Happy Modding....you are on the right website.....

Texas Speed & Performance does good mail in pcm tuning. They are very good with their 224r and 228r cams. They can surely hook you up. I bought my 228r and everything I needed for the swap from them, fast shipping also.
here is a link to their mail in tuning
http://texas-speed.com/p-21-texas-sp...rder-tune.aspx

And to their camshaft packages.
http://texas-speed.com/c-845-camshaft-packages.aspx

with a smaller cam such as 224 or 228 there is no need for dual springs, just get the single beehive springs...
I opted for the .650 lift springs even though my cam only does .588, just a little extra security i feel like i gave myself. I have heard good things about the comp 918 springs also. I would suggest the 228r over the 224r..but thats me.. I like a little extra lope.
Good luck
