Not this again... haha. RPM WS6 is right.

+1 for making the access panel.

A simple dremel will do the trick, although id recommend air tools. A torch would undoubtedly cause a huge issue... Thats like using a chainsaw for brain surgery.

horrible luck, i dont trust these gauges or the sending units so i fill up every 200 miles, which is usually near a 1/4 tank.

1st swap was the original pump, replaced with an airtex, the regulator went out on that one, exchanged it, then the pump itself went bad, got my money back, put in a spectre or something like that this time and its been ok so far.

Do you know how the plastic tank was wired to work on your 98? i'm in the process of a swap now and trying to figure out how to wire it up.
