Default stock formula doing 15s ?

so I just bought a 2000 formula and I took it to the track and it did 15.5 and I know that has to be near impossible this is my first race car so I don't know a lot about it but I know I should be doing high 13s unless there is something different with the formulas doubt it tho I'm also getting codes for converters and 02 sensors any ideas ?

I like your username.

Just a personal recommendation, don't a car to track with codes on.
Kinda just asking for extra headaches with possibilities of more stuff to fix.

If your precat O2s are shot, that is your problem. They control fuel trims. Get some OE front O2s.

Unless you can't drive but you would have to be the worlds worst

Can we get more details of the run like 60 ft time? MPH? etc. Don't take this the wrong way but just because a car is capable of running a certain time doesn't mean that anyone can run that time' the driver mod plays a HUGE roll.

do a basic tune up (plugs, wires, change/check all fluids - rearend, tranny)
get a couple of new 02 sensors and extensions
when you install your headers/y-pipe, do a mail order tune (unless you get HP Tuners yourself)
welcome to the 13's, maybe even 12's

lets please see your full time slip so we can see your 60 foot time and your trap speed in particular as well as what track you race at - someone mentioned Denver which is a mile high so you would lose a lot of et racing there or even on a day closer to sea level with poor density altitude ( factors in temp ,humidity ,barometric pressure, altitude)

areyou running premium fuel in the car ? it is recommended and you will lose timing advance on regular fuel which removes power.

is your car loaded down with stereo equipment or have big wheels that are heavy ?

theres a lot of factors and there are many of us here that can help you sort through and get that bad boy running good times.

I wouldnt go throwing a bunch more mods on it until you figure out whats up with it.

Since I'm going to assume the car has ran the same since you bought it, if there is something wrong with the car it seems like it would have been like that from the get go. You may want to take the car to someone who knows a little more about these cars to give it the once over.

I'd do all the regular "tune-up" items to see if that works before anything else IMO. Only then would I take it somewhere to see what the problem is.

92 mph trap is super low - thats just over what a v6 4th gen f body would do stock , you definately have something wrong mechanically
