Ok guys like i said im a poor college student but i for sure want to do an actual catback system not just the muffler. All i want is a pick between two. Tell me what you guys think between the texas speed rumbler catback vs hooker catback. My future mods will be texas speed headers 3.73 gears and either a texas speed/ pacesetter ypipe so take that all into account. Thanks guys youre the best haha

Because they are the 2 that id be able to afford right now. I wish i had all the money in the world to drop into my car but alas dont. Theyre 2 ive seen that meet what i want and in my price range. If i end up not liking one of them later on i can always switch. Like you said tonsss of exhausts for our cars. Im sure ill switch more than once

Yeah like I said before you should really get headers first because they will be more of a PITA than a catback and it's good to get that out of way then your catback will be a breeze lol. Again, love my hooker. Loud at WOT but crazy quiet at idle and I can still hear my big cam thumping then I can open my cutout for loud thump lol

Not sure about pypes but i know i see plenty of loudmouth, magnaflow, corsa, borla, etc catbacks that are well over 600 and 700. Ill look into pypes though. All im doing right now is getting as much info and as many opinions as possible

Assuming your price limit is 650,
Borla, Bassani, GMMG, Stainless Works, Kooks, and Corsa are the only ones I see too expensive for you.
All of the following companies make complete catback systems cheaper than that for 98-02 F bodies:
Edlebrock, Magnaflow, MAC, Pypes, Flowmaster, SLP ( LM I, II, and Powerflow is right at the $700 mark) Hooker, Dynomax, TSP, and Thrush.
You can find Magnaflow for under 500 if you know where to look.

Ok ill look around a bit more. The 650 was saying the max i would want to spend not the mowny ive got now. The main reason the hooker appeals to me is because i could buy it friday as soon as i get paid haha. Impatient teenagers i know lol

Ok im still thinking about the hooker catback but i just really want to know if its louder at idle and crusing than the stock catback. I know that hooker is one of the quieter catbacks but is it even a little bit louder or deeper than the stock exhaust? Thanks guys

The longtubes are for sure on my list of things to do. The tsp headers and ypipe are next on my list in fact. Dont intend to do to much to the car though. Headers, lid, ory, exhaust, 3.73 gears and thats probably it. Im just sick of the stock exhaust. In about a year all of those things should be done

Yup, its almost 2x the price of the hooker but it has plenty of volume & it wont rust out like the hooker will.
