That z28 is a fully loaded car.. Todd always preferred the hardtops because they are stiffer and about 100lbs lighter not to mention they arent that many Hardtop z28's

The only mistake I made buying my car was that it was stock. You never get your money back once you start modding.

I want to have my own modifications and pick my own build i dont want someones half started car if you know what i mean. However I definatly wouldnt mind the small bolt ons such as lid and exhaust. but anything more Internal id rather not bother with.

Im kind of changing my mind about the vert, i keep thinking of pros and cons.
Is there a signifigant weight difference from a vert to a t-tops/hard top cars?

And thanks for all your help guys really appreciate it.

The 99 BBM? It doesn't have any options at all. It's a stripper car

only difference between it and my ss is the cruise control. idk what other options your talking about?

NVM just noticed... i thought it had power windows n locks... never seen a Z like that...

on the bright side it would make a nice racecar

To answer your original question, NO. If you know what you want then stick to that!

Now, I do have to agree with a few of the previous posters, that these are 10+ year old cars at this point, so if you do see a good deal.. Jump on it!

Just my .02. About a year and a half ago I was looking at this sweet 99 z28 that had 14,000 miles on it for something like 16,000 bucks. They were gonna take my trade in (2002 v6 camaro) for only 2500. I was in the process of working them down cuz my price limit was 12-13 when I was on autotrader and saw this bad *** SS across town. Went to look at it, turned out they had no idea what they had , and I didnt at the time, cuz they sent me out the door with a "345 HP" full optioned hardtopped SLP car for 6500 after my trade with a 2 year powertrain warranty. I did have to cave on the mileage at nearly 80,000 but the car was in what I would call damn near perfect condition completely stock.
My point is its better to wait for what you want, you may have to cave on something but jems do pop up when you least expect it and you may have to jump on it quick.
Goodluck with it if you havent made a decision yet.

I spent a year finding and locating the one I wanted..I'm in the F-Body capital of Houston. I ended up changing my wish list to an automatic when I found my LE vert with 42,000 miles...You must be patient..

And yes I still want the manual...

Sounded like me earlier this year. I searched and searched for the car I wanted. It took time but finally found it. 02 NBM ws6 6 speed with low miles and no mods. I'm glad I didn't just settle becuase I love the car and enjoy it every second I'm in it. Take your time, be patient. Don't waste your money on something thats not completely what you want. You'll possibly regret buying. It'll turn up sooner or later. Fwiw... It took me two years to find it.

Truth! It is nice to have the option of closing my cutout when I'm tooling around neighborhoods late at night, though.

I agree, hold out for what you want and ask yourself if you DID find what seems to be an 'amazing deal' what could you compromise on?
