!AIR mod????

ive seen this mod in a few peoples sig. if it's another free mod, ill take it. cash right now is EXTRA tight untill i start working again. can anyone post a site or two about how this mod is done and what the AIR system is used for , i know where it is under the hood but im not familiar on its purpose. any info will be greatly appreciated. i tried to search for it but placing an "!" in the search criteria returns zero results. thanx again

The AIR system is used to heat up the cats when they're cold (emissions). to delete this system what you do is disconnect the AIR pump and the plumbing. You will need two block off plates(to cover the holes) for your exhaust manifolds

outstanding, is there any guides that you know of that show these steps. im a very mechanically inclined person but boy those step by step / picture filled directions sure do help

removing the air system is not a power adder..! well maybe if you pull out all the plumbing and the pump you may loose 5-6 pounds off the front end....

i only pulled mine because i put on long tubes and those will screw up the floating valves in the air lines.....

anyway unless you have LT headers I see no reason besides weight reduction.
