Hell no, you'll love it. Add the gears and you'll be a solid .7 faster in the 1/4 with good tires.

3600 is a great stall. I'm running a 3600 w/ heads & cam and it's very street friendly.

A 3600 is a good choice. I had a Yank 3600, and it was GREAT! I went from 13.0 @ 108 to 12.3 @ 111 with it.

Make sure you get a big trans cooler with it. And, DO NOT go cheap on a converter. There are some great sponsors here that make top notch converters. Check them out.

I would go 4000 minimum.
If you had a lightweight car that would be ok, but heavier cars need more stall.

3600 is fine. If you're looking at Nitto's go with a Toyo Proxes TQs, hook way better, last just as long.

Google Toyo Proxes TQs and tire crawler for a great price.

The 3600 is great for a street car. I'm looking for a little bit more ET so I'm getting restalled to a 4000. My SS3600 was very tight and I got used to it quickly

a adjustable torque arm ,and some after market lower control arms would compliment that stall.now you need new shock and springs.

Not sure if this is an easy question to answer but whats it like to drive a stalled auto? People say they're so fun (some say more fun than a stick) but isn't it still just gas and go with better take off and acceleration? Besides the car becoming faster I don't get how they're so much more fun to drive? Is there any more interaction with the car like with a stick?

Just trying to decide if I wana keep my car or sell for a 6 speed after the summer but didn't want to make a whole new thread so sorry for the hijack.

My best explanation is it makes the car feel like it has way more power than it does, I don't know if that really makes much sense but it changes the way the car puts the power to the ground. Go on youtube on look, there are tons of incar videos of car driving with various converters.

Depends on your taste and what you're willing to put up with re: driveability.

Of the two vehicles listed in my signature, the Corvette had better manners at low speed. The combination was tighter.

And for my next build I plan on a C5 with 3.42 gears and probably a 2600 - 2800 converter. I like it tight and VERY streetable.

The Camaro however was not bad, although a tad loose for my liking. But it was a head/cam Camaro with a cam in the 230 range and I found the driveability to not be unreasonable for what it was. I also traveled 10 hours non-stop between rural Virginia and Long Island New York a few times in it, which entailed some bumper-to-bumper traffic on the LI Expressway, and never really minded.

I'll put it to you this way - I am a lot more picky than most when it comes to driveability and how tight a given combo feels, I plan on going smaller next time, but I NEVER once even considered removing the 3600 from my 3.73 geared SS. 3600 plus 3.73 is a great performing combination and the chances of you hating it are between slim and none.
