anyone that uses a oil based filter is going to want to clean your MAF every so often to get the oil off of the sensors. i was pinging bad before i cleaned mine. now i have none. also be careful putting a fresh re-charged filter back in too soon before it dries.
i first had a k&n, switched to a holly due to fitment issues and now run a fram

I run a purrolator too, it replaced my K&N
I wanted the fram, as i heard it was good, but the local parts store didn't have it, so i bought the purolator, glad to know it was a good buy

Hey run what makes you happy. I mean run what you believe in, there is way too many different belief's on what is better/worse... I'm sure someone has dynoed their car with a K&N vs let's say a Puralator, Fram, Wix paper filter.
Does anyone have any dyno info? I won't change mine regardless but atleast this post would benefit from some dyno numbers, Fred

I will be throwing out my K & N and getting the Holley. I heard they fit better and IMO look better.

i run a k&n in my 400ex which i have about 10k in so far. ive had that thing packed so full of dirt i actually had to scrape it out with a SCREWDRIVER a few times before cleaning. i run with no airbox lid so whatever gets thrown on it gets stuck. the inside of that filter has been spotless since day 1. every dirt track car ive ever wrenched on has had a k&n including the sprint car i did most of my wrenching on. i've seen them perform and i think ill keep mine. i will need a new gasket for it when i order my new lid though ... think i might use some badass weather stripping.
