Very nice! I've been very happy with my short block from TMS and Kyle was great. It's good to see the name showing up more and more on here. Keep the pics and videos coming man!

Yes he is def very popular, and know of lots of ppl and shops that use his short blocks.

lol, I know right... 2 months from yanking out my good ol LS1, to having all in hand at the moment. I just want to do a few more things now that are not mechanical stuff. You know, engine bay paint, and the sneaky sneaky stuff, lol. But that is going to take some time. If I decide not to do it, I should have the ride running very soon ready for Pat G to work his magic.

Default Quick update

Just a quick update...

So Far I have/bought the Spec'd out Cam, Fully assembled 235 TFS Heads
FAST 92/92 set up with Green top Injectors
Yella Terra 1.7 ultralight rockers
LS7 llifters and trays
LS2 Timing chain
Melling high pressure oil pump
TMS Forged small cubes Short Block
Head studs
Gasket kit
Kooks headers and Y pipe
North Texas converters built 4l80e transmission
Yank Pro series Stall
Pro engineering rear shocks
I think that sums most of the parts up, I know im missing some of the little stuff but whatever.

WHAT I NEED!...
Stand alone unit for N20, progressive controller, and 2 extra noids.
Crank shaft Pulley, Timing cover and cam retainer bolts.
4l80e crossmemeber, yoke, un joints, dip stick, and miscellaneous stuff.
Electronic box for PCM to read 4l80e.
Pushrods
Rear end, sub frame connectors, Tq Arm (waiting on that)
Racing seats, new carpet, and visors because they are bent at the ends.
Knock sensors (They where corroded nasty bad)
Touch up engine bay.

I am reusing a lot of stuff to save some mulla, like... oil pan with accessories, drive shaft, valley cover etc.

For all those who say, it's cheap to mod or told me it wouldn't cost much... Y'all can kiss my A**, lol. This has taken a lot of cash, and didn't expect to add up so quick. And this is a baby build, I can only imagine how much those huge cubes guys spend on their builds.
Hopefully I wont ever have to upgrade from here... just boost it next year if all goes well and get tired of spray.

Thanks to those following this build... full details and specs will be given eventually. Just have to go stomp a few ppl before I divulge all I'm working with.

No doubt, but a good platform is going to cost you, once you're there its easier to step it up some.

Happy first day of fall everyone...

Today I start looking for the little parts, for the transmission conversion. Hopefully will have all parts in hand by next Friday, and start putting all this back together.

Default Suspension

I have closed a deal with sommers86 for a brand new unopen and still factory sealed front end suspension package from UMI. The K member already has been shipped and the arms should ship out Monday. I am super excited about this mod, and cant wait to have it all assembled and ready to cradle the new engine.

So here is the stage 3 front end package!

Over stock... 33lbs, but this wont benefit me much as I gained anywhere from 80 to 100 lbs from the iron block and around 25 to 30 lbs from the 4l80e conversion. I'm hoping to offset some of the weight and put me back to stock ls1 range of 3650 empty. Otherwise I may be at 5th gen weight, lol.
Im preparing the ride more than anything for its next big and final set up after this one.

Default Small update

Decided to start prepping and installing a few items in the short block...

Greased up the studs, put in the LS7 lifters and trays, cam, and cam gear.

Default Almost there!

Well got around to assemble my engine this weekend, and I'm that much closer to stabbing it in the ride. Good friend came over to put an extra set of eyes on what I was doing to ensure I didn't miss any steps or torque down specs. Some what nervous to do this, since its my full blow build, but I'm learning a ton, and not afraid to do my own work, yet still cautious.

Here it is!...
