What's My Stock Gearing?

Stock Gears I have a 99 Ram Air TA, and I believe the stock gears in mine were 3.73's. However when I bought it the stock gears had been replaced with 4.10's. The 4.10's turned out to be great gears with the 6 speed manual! Hope that answers your question. If you are looking for more low end power go with 4.10's, but the 3.73's are good all around gears.

Upgrades I noticed that you said everything is "stock...for now." I just thought that if are thinking about mods visit http://www.lgmotorsports.com/ they have some things you would be interested in and some pretty decent package deals!

Got the car a couple of weeks ago. Got a couple of things very minor things on the way, plus gotta do the free mods!
Gears will be one day, but might have a hook up to trade someone mine for 4.11s straight up. He's got a 93 axle and engine in a 99-up S10 and that's way too much gearing. I told him I have 3.42s cause I've read that some where, but that might have been in an M6.

for automatics if you have GU5 on the options on your door panel you have 3.23 if not then 2.73
I believe all firehawks came with 3.23s (A4 firehawks that is, M6 still had 3.42)
So: M6 -- 3.42 gears
A4 w/GU5 - 3.23 gears (WS6 and Firehawk all have this I believe, same for SS)
A4 w/out GU5 -- 2.73 w/series II carrier (needs to be upgraded to the series III like the 3.23 and 3.42 cars have)
so InfiniteReality your car more than likely has 3.23s in it... but easy to check... open the door and look at the option codes... check for GU5

A4 performance option was 3.23 gear, otherwise they're 2.73. I'm not a Firehawk expert but I don't believe there were additional ratios offered.
No need to swap out gears, especially to 4.10's. Way too much gear for a stock A4. If you had a M6 it would be different.
Get a good converter and keep the gears you have. They're stronger than 3.73's and a converter will give you a much better improvement than gears ever could.
