Default hotcam, headers or LSX intake??????

ok, right now i have a borla catback, MTI lid, and a short throw shifter....i am now debating on getting one of the following:
1.)hot cam
2.)long tube headers
3.)LSX intake

if i have researched correctly, installed they run about the same price....which of the above will net me the greatest gains? thanks for your input fellas, peace

i would go with the longtubes. The hotcam will get you power, but the full potential of a cam is really seen with headers. The LSX is more for stroker motors. If your gonna get an intake i would suggest the LS6 intake. If it were me i would go headers, cam, then LS6 intake.

I agree

A lot of people don't like the Hotcam, but it's not a bad cam. It does love nitrous

I have a Hotcam, and it will try to kill itself quite a bit, until you get it tuned good. Us being M6 cars, we don't have it as bad as the autos, but it still can get annoying

If you upgrade your intake, go with an LS6 intake. If/when you make lots more power (stroker, forced induction, etc) then you could swap for a 90mm FAST intake. You'd be able to sell off the LS6 intake easy

I say go with the headers, ORY, and maybe even a cutout. Hopefully the Borla you have won't rasp too bad on you though

One last thing, you may want to consider doing all the bolt ons before opening the engine up. To my knowledge there are not any bolt ons that will alter your idle or driveability very much if any, where a cam can completley change the car, quite easily I might add. Have fun with whatever you do though

Same opinion here as stated above. The LSX intake is best on cars with more cubes or already higher HP producing cars.
