While I would love to go with a Connect and Cruise kit, which I could end up doing if the costs justify, but where are people having success in finding a salvaged drivetrain? It's going into a '69 Firebird and while I'd like to have between 350 and 400 hp, I'm looking for drivability and reliability, which is what I would expect from an LS motor. Living in Vegas, I NEED fantastic a/c as well. I see a few guys on ebay that have drivetrains and harnesses for sale, but who are the reliable "go to" guys that people are getting their motors from. Shipping may not be an issue for some, but a west coast provider would be preferred because of the rust I've seen on some of the back east drivetrains.
