LS1 horsepower on a budget items?
hey guys, I'm in the process of buying a 98 LS1 out of a vette. Its complete with front accessories and the pcm. It also came with a cable tb from a truck. This was sort of a sporatic purchase, so I'm not really stocked up on funds at the moment. It will be going into a 69 Camaro with a tremec TKO 600 5spd trans.
What are some budget minded things I could do to "juice it up a bit"
from what I've read on here (and been able to comprehend) maybe a LS6 used cam and yellow valve springs? used LS6 intake?
not really sure, just thought I'd see what some of you guys recommend.
thanks

Easy power would be nitrous. I would personally get forged pistons, forged crank, get a pair of used 243 heads, maybe a small cam, and spray that **** all day.

Since this is a transplant forget the Lid idea's, but you will need a CAI setup. Obviously your going to look into headers for the swap also.
Simple cost effective mods are like you said LS6 intake And maybe just a nice matched cam/valve spring combo. GM Hot Cam or ASA cam with matched springs would work well.

be nice if you can make a lid work...they are much more efficient at both giving a straight shot into the intake and gathering air that isn't heat from the engine bay
typical cone filter and tube setups are inferior as is the K&N FIPK (sits on top of the radiator) junk
