The poor low-end could be completely normal and only needs some tuning since you swapped out a worthless pre' 01 LS1 intake. If you plan on installing headers and full exhaust very soon you will probably be ok to wait for a tune after the exhaust work. But if I were you I would be taking it easy on the gas pedal until it's tuned.

I'm meant the LS1 intake is worthless. It's the worst LSx intake manifold made. The only thing I know about mail-order tunes is 99% of the people I hear that gets them have problems. If there is a tuner with a chassis dyno only 2 hrs from you, it's probably best to just make an appointment for that 2 hr drive. The three chassis dyno tuners I've been to in the Chicagoland all are 1.5-2 hr drive for me. Not bad at all IMO. No way I would spend $ on a mail order tune if it wasn't necessary when there's a chassis dyno only 2 hrs away.

OP, not sure if you're considering selling that Typhoon intake yet, but if you decide to, shoot me a price. I'm looking for one to cut up for an experiement.

Got damn that seems high priced for sure. $650-950 for a dyno tune, for your car, yikes. Even just $650 is pretty damn high to dyno tune your intake and headers car. F that noise.

Yeah that is what exotic type cars usually run to dyno. My dyno tune + street tune was $300
