Question Which build??

I need some help on which way I should go with my build. I could use everyone's opinions on whether I should stay NA or go Boost. Opinions on why and reasons/ pros/cons on both are greatly appreciated.

Well how about some obvious info first like budget, how much power you want, how it will be driven, etc, etc...otherwise go with a turbo and make a 1000 hp lol

Weekend/Track car 02 Trans Am convertible with a 6 speed. Budget is not really a worry right now I guess 4k or less for mods. Everyone around me has boosted cars but if you beat a boosted car with an NA car here people are a little more impressed. So not really sure which way to go.

Well if you don't want to go with a forged setup then it's hard to beat a good HCI combo with a shot of nitrous. That would probably be your best bet in terms of raw power, but a blower will have better driveability and make great power as well.

first thing first you are a six speed car so get ready to dish out a good chunk of your budget already on a good rearend for your car. What kind of numbers are you looking at to run at the track?? Im all for na but its hard to keep up with forced induction anymore. they are reliable if done right and make killer power and still have good street manners. You need to give us more of an idea on what you want out of your car

Just really looking for a fun car I don't need a 1000HP car just looking for 500-550 to the ground. and that 4k is just motor 9 inch with mosers and auburn pos for my car is already taken care of.

Since you're running the 9" rear, I vote for a badass HCI combo with a 100-150 shot. Granted a blower is awesome, but persoanlly I love the sound of a big cammed LS motor that kicks *** n/a, and then is a monster on the sauce. Screw driveability lol

If 4k is just for the motor I vote for a forged short block, and forced induction. Do you have 243 heads with the 02 car? Then save for the forced induction end.

I picked up the car with no motor so its got a 5.3 swap in it as at the moment. I think it has 862s on it if I remember right which I probably don't.

BTW those 862's (that's what I have) do pretty good once they are worked over quite a bit
