Arrow 11 sec?

ok i have searched and searched but unable to find EXACTLY what im looking for..i want to know what it would take for me to obtain an 11 sec car(provided i am a good, not great driver..for now). i want the car to be relatively streetable. the car will be driven DAILY. however the cam in the car i want something noticable but not insane where i dont have to change springs too often, and i can keep a decent gas milage. i have heard tr224, t1, and even the trex, but i am still not too knowledgable with cams. this car would have stock heads and if possible stock rear end(i know this is unlikely but i would like some comments on it.) also in what order should i go in modifying my car(suspension 1st then engine, etc.) so i dont have crap exploding unexpectedly, etc. nitrous is pretty much out of the question for now. the last time i ran was a 13.2 at 107.4(no tune yet) please be specific as possible.

how deep into the 11's are we talking about. depending on how serious you are about the strip i'd start with the rear end. no offence but if your only pulling 13.2 @ 107 with the mods in your sig then the first mod should be the driver one. what are your 60's and what tires are your running.

i'd hone up your driving skills until you can get a pretty consistant e.t down and then see where to go from there. to me it doesnt make sense to spend money and throw more power down if the skills arent there yet to make that power usefull.

also did you read this thread:

just read the thread...didnt see that one in my search. thanks for the help. do most of the people running these 11s do it on a 12 bolt? while we r on the subject what do you suggest i do to improve my times(methods of launch, etc.), and what would be a good 60' for street tires? i plan on getting nittos soon but i would like to know what i SHOULD be improving from.

like i said, depending on how serious you are about the track i'd just start saving up the the 12 bolt. especially since you already have a good clutch. i think with the mods you have and when you start getting better at driving your 10 bolt will be on borrowed time. i'd get whatever tires you plan on running then then practice with those. you can read about lauch methods and tips and other such things but the only way to get better is good old fashion practice. .

if i were you i'd cruise to the drag racing forum and just spend time reading up there, looking at peoples sigs and see what there running ect.

with a good lauch and 60' and your mods 12's and 110+ trap speeds should be easily obtainable.

beast, with your mods i went 12.8's with 1.9x 60's on stock gsa's with the addition of a rear with 4.10's and nittos i went low 12's if you want mid 11's you need a 12bolt few suspension mods like lca's torque arm and relocation brackets some nittos and a small head cam package will finish it off or a mid size cam and some slicks would do it also with stock heads.

One thing you have to remember is this is a 99 not an 01. 01s seem to put down more than the older ones because of the intake and a few other things. Also what was the weather like when you ran? If it was hot and humid you will lose a couple of mphs. My WS6 went 110 a few times while running a 12.82 with almost nothing done while it was cooler. Then it would only trap 107 when it got more humid. Just something to keep in mind. Let me know when you go to the track again and I will go with you and see whats going on.
