Default oil blow by issues

I just drove my ls swap s10 for the first time and I found that crank case pressure will push my oil cap up and blow oil past the o ring. Also it getting alot of oil in the intake manifold and burning it. Is there a good fix for this or do I have a problem? Btw as far as the oil cap goes, its the stock lq4 valve cover with just a factory oil cap screwed on it. No elbow just the cap.

Is it all stock? PCV hooked up?

Yea all stock. I think it is. At least the passenger side vent on the valve cover is hooked up to the throttle body and the drivers side is hooked up to the intake.

Even with proper PCV on your LS you will get oil in the intake without a catch can in between the PCV and intake. Even then it's not a 100% fix in some applications but IMO a requirement on any LS. Is there a legit PCV valve in the valve cover? Have you tried cleaning or changing it? How big of a port did you connect to on the intake(which port) and which port on the TB?

Oil out of the filler cap could be a sign of excessive blow-by and you might have trouble overcoming that with PCV. Have you done a compression test?

Yes it does have a pvc valve in the drivers side valve cover and the intake was originally a dbw and im using a dbc throttle body now. So i pluged off the port on the throttle body and just connected the passenger side vent tube to the intake port on the side just behind the throttle body. The passengers side valve cover has the pcv valve and that is hooked up from there and goes to the top of the stock truck intake.
As for checking it, no I haven't. I would think that if it was cloged it would just push oil out the cap but im not 100% on that.

Looked at it today and I have a fixed pcv valve cover. What do you guys think I should do now?

If you have the vent side connected behind(not between TB and MAF), then you have vacuum on both ends and PCV wont work right. You need vacuum to PCV which it sounds like you have. You need fresh, metered air to the vent.

Then I guess I should get a small breather for the passenger side valve cover and plug the barb behind the throttle body. Thank you so much Mercier!

You can do that but your tune would likely be off then. You want METERED air going in the vent whenever possible. By metered, I mean air that passed through the MAF so that the computer counts that as air going into the engine and can compensate with fuel. If it doesn't come from behind the MAF, it is basically a vacuum leak for all practical purposes. So the RIGHT way to do it is to have the vent from the passenger valve cover pull air from somewhere between the MAF and the throttle body.

It's a little confusing for everyone until the "aha" moment and then it all makes sense so let me know if you need further clarification.

From what my friend told me it has just over 100k. He payed the core charge for it. He worked with a Nigerian in Harrisburg and the guy diagnosed a 03 or 04 (he can't remember) gmc 2500hd as a bad engine but when he sold a new one and it had the same problem of shutting off. He ended up just giving the engine to me for free and I dont have any issues other than the oil in the intake.
