Default Starting engine without catchcan set up?

Can I start my engine without a catch can routed in and just leaving the outlets untouched? I just finished swapping the motor and am in my final steps to start it. I wouldn't be leaving my garage, I don't even have a driveshaft, I just want to hear it hah. I'm sure some of you can relate.

Saikou Michi Catch cans are on there way, the setup is NA.

Yes. Its not going to hurt anything. People run engines without valve covers for valve train adjustments and diagnostic purposes.
