Default Name that noise please

I think this may be lifter noise but would like some advice from someone who knows more than I do. This sounds to me like its coming from the top like valve train and as you can hear in the video when I bring the RPMs up the sound disappears then after 10-15 seconds it reappears. Im not sure if its a lifter and when I bring the rpms up it pumps up with oil then drains and gets noisy again or what. I run royal purple 5w30 oil. As you can see from the instrument cluster it holds great oil pressure. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I dont know how to post a video to this post or I would.

You do mean 5w30 right? It's what is recommended. And I surely wouldn't go down in viscosity. I'd run 0w40 Mobil 1 cause it runs thin but never a 20w for sure! Maybe you meant to say 5 w 30 not 20. If you are running a 20 ,I'd get it out and get a 5w 30. I bet your noisy condition stops.

Mine makes a noise very similar to that on cold start that I assume is piston slap cause it goes away when warm. Then also I have a slight tick all the time that disappears after 1500 rpm or so. The tick seems to come from under the engine though . These engines are generally pretty noisy. Maybe someone else will chime in and help you out more.

Lifter/valve train noise or a bearing? I can't say. Either way, I would go get some outside help as nothing good is happening if it doesn't go away once the car is warmed up. You might want to move this thread over to the "general maintenance and repair" thread where you might get more eyes/ears on it.

Lifter noise, check the oil for air bubbles too. Even with good oil pressures you can still have air getting past the oil pickup tube o ring causing your tappy lifters.
