True, the Z06 lost it's MAF screen in 2003, I think. That and a few other things got them 20 HP.

I just now got to bring it out of the garage because of all of the bad weather we had here in Texas but it runs real smooth like always. Im sure it flows a little better but not enough for you to feel. But I'm sure it added a few ponies.

I descreened mine when I replaced the lid and added the ssra. Together, I could definitely feel an increase.

My fear of doing this stems from the fact that in the past I have had my TSP lid pop off one of the hold downs in the back. It has not happened in months since I re trimmed the bellows but the few times it did come off I found crap stuck in the MAF screen. Stuff that would have been ingested by my engine had the screen not been there. That was enough for me to keep the MAF screen.
