Default Cam Lift

So, i have a custom cam for my Ls1. 214/214 .598 114. Someones telling me my car wont handle the .598 custom lift.... Is it really not going to be able to? It's not got anything upgraded right now except mac headers and y pipe and cat back exhaust. Just trying to figure out if i will be okay. I have bigger valve springs already for the cam.

You need valve springs and HD pushrods for ANY aftermarket cam unless it was specifically designed to be stock replacement (like the Cam Motion drop in cams, but even then ls6 valve springs are a good idea as your stock ones are likely worn out).

What exactly are the "bigger valvesprings" you have on there?

Most if not all springs come with some sort of "max lift supported" value, so if that value is higher than the rated lift of the cam you should be ok.
