Question Cold Air Kits

Looking to add either a cold air kit ( prob SLP's) or a Ram air hood with fucntional box.

1) Any one have good/bad experience with cold air kits like SLP and water getting up inside engine due to the low positioning of the inlet?

2) ANy probs with cold air ktis driving temps up due to blocking air flow over radiator?

3) Any suggestions on what manufacutures to look towards or stay awasy form in regards to hoods. Eyeing up the package from
http://www.ramairhood.com/store/detail.aspx?ID=23
ANy info on qulaity, price, fit, etc

Thanx!

Get the SSRA and a Air Lid the SSRA does not really suck up water. Some of the sponser's sell these mod's.

I have the SLP mod, and it works great. No water problems at all. Once you see it, you'll see how no water's going to go up it.

I've been scared of a CAI for so long but I think I'm going
to finally get one. No doubt a SSRA cause it angles away from
the radiator.

Unless you have money to burn or are simply doing it for looks, I'd suggest a lid and free ram air mod. That'll get about as much gain as the SLP CAI and a hood for around $100. Just my opinion, though...
