I think we all need to wait and see, to each his own but I have faith in GM and don't think they'll make too many mistakes. They will never build your perfect car... someone will always find something wrong with their design. Pretty much the only things for certain are RWD V8 and it will be off a Holden platform.

It needs to look meaner than the GTO. The GTO is ok but its to vanilla flavor for me. Plus it better be cheaper. $35,000 is to much. A 2002 Z was only $27,000 nicely equiped. $8,000 would definitely buy some nice bolt ons.

From another website, they have the possible roadmap.
Shows the GTO being swapped onto the new Sigma lite platform and on that platform they will do the New Camaro..
Ever since their demise, GM had stated that the Firebird was going to stay dead and that the Camaro would be the one that would possibly come back.

Pretty much everything RWD that GM has in the pipeline besides Cadillacs are being based on the upcoming Australian engineered Zeta platform. And don't get your hopes up for a new Camaro yet, much can change in three years.
I also think it's funny someone mentioned the upcoming Dodge Charger being a "badass" muscle car. I remember posting information on it and Chrysler being childishly assailed for making it a sedan. How awful!
By the look of it, we may see a new Chevrolet El Camino SS before we see a new Camaro.
