You need to make sure that it fits your intake first of all. Then you may have to get a reducer to replace your air bellows. Those are the only two things touching it.

I bought a MTI throttle body and found it relatively easy to put on with existing equipment. I can honestly say it made for nice crisp acceleration! I think it's a worthwhile mod.

Just throw on one of my ported stock TB's and be done with it. You should see .1 -.2 in ET reduction and 1-2MPH increase. Click on the link in my sig for different pictures/options.

I'am also very happy with my MTI Billet T-Body.
I think it has something to do with it being a precision machined piece.
The stock ported piece feel stock,But the gains are about equal.
Plus it looks awesome

whats the point of powdercoating?
Its just for looks, maybe prevent corrosion alittle bit. Powdercoat is alot like paint, but will never chip or fade. I believe they give the metal object a - charge, and the powdercoat has a + charge, so the opposite charges attract and forms a bond. I think its something like that, pretty high tech stuff.

Back on topic: Ive heard good things about the Shaner ported TB's.

mostly correct.. it can chip and scratch.. it is just more resistant to that.. but it still happens.
Think of it as a strong paint. hehe
Fading is all about how it reacts to the sunlight and radiation so some colors will others wont.
