Default New ls1 question

So new to the forum and got a few questions hopn you guys might be able to help out.

I picked up a 01 formula with 113k on it. The guy I bought it from said he upgraded a few things.
779 heads supposedly he portmatched and ported them, 220/560 cam, ls6 intake, melling high pressure pump, 3.42 auburn rear. , roller chain and 3point gear
im curious what kind of hp/tq i might be looking at and also ive got a odd issue. When i start the car it struggles form a second the starts kind of shitty then smooths right out. The idle hunts for a minute just a bit and will surge in gear a bit but then smooths out. Any ideas on a cause? I've checked for vac leaks and found none.

he said it hadnt been tuned. Any input would be appreciated.

It it hasn't been tuned that alone will cause a bunch of issues and is not safe to drive. That needs to be done asap

I didn't think just the heads, cam and intake were very big changes to the point a tune would be crucial. It's not a radical cam by Any means i thought. Do i need to go get a dyno tune or do you think a handheld would be ok

A handheld tune might get you by for a bit, but i wouldn't even consider that for a permanent thing. Yes adding a HCI is a huge change and running it permanently untuned like that is insane

I assume those are 799 castings and not 779? If so, what kind of work has been done to them?

Ok if they are the 799's then you might see around 400 with that cam, but that also depends on the dyno and other unknown details
