Default Hey guys need some help

So I'm pretty new that this whole building thing and I was needing some help. I have a 2002 ws6 6speed and I've decided to start a build. I have high oil pressure and when I give it gas at about 3500 rpm my oil gauge is at max and the check engine light is on. It's has sat for about 3 year so I have decided to do some upgrades.

i have some stuff picked out but would like your opinion in them and see if I need to change anything or if it would be good enough for what I want . My goal is about 450 to 500 hp but I would like more low and mid end torque. I want a strong vavletrain and lots of torque. I'm going to buy heads,lifters,cam,headers,exhaust,intake/throttle body, injectors, and oil pump and timing chain

so far I have a prc stage 2.5 cylinder head kit from Texas speed picked out with dual 660 springs 64cc and Harlem sharp rockers, Texas speed headers and dual x pipe exhaust 1 7/8 to 3 and 3 to 3.5 or 4 with quad tips haven't decided on pipe size yet

I was wanting to know I have also picked out some ls7 lifter and didn't know if those would be good enough and hold up or will they have backup float and etc. I also was wanting a double roller chain but putting a Meller oil pump on won't allow that so I was wonder if there was another high flow pump I could put on..so would a single roller be fine.i was also going to go with a 92mm fast and 42lb injectors would that be enough?

last but not let I have been looking a the Saturday night special cams and would like you to spec me a cam

thanks nick

Well yes and no I mean it's going to be a street car. No a everyday car but I want it to be efficient as possible. I do want top nd but I would never really have it over a 100mph. So I would be willing to give up some top end for low and mid range

Gotcha. Just off the top of my head I'd consider doing like a 4.10 gear with a cam along the lines of something like a stock LS6 cam. That would be a very good setup down low and through the midrange

Well I have a manual and i don't really care to change gears. I'm fine with what I have. I'm also some what on a buget. I just want to upgrade a little bit on the engine. But I do appreciate the input

No problem. You should call some of the cam vendors on here. I'm sure they would spec you something to fit your goals

I was wanting to know if the ls7 lifters would be a good enough for a 600 lift or if they have vavle float and was wanting to know more about high pressure oil pumps if there was one that was compatible with a double roller timing chain

You can try contacting him.
The odds that the person you're looking for chimes in on a forum of this size is very very small.
