Default 5.3 or 6.0 harness into 2000 Z28?

I recently purchased a 2000 z28 which is missing the engine/trans engine harness and PCM. (The guy thought the car was totaled but it just had a bent k-member) so I bought the SUPER clean rolling shell and a new k-member and I am swapping a 5.3 or 6.0 iron block motor into it with a 4l60 or 4l80. I have done plenty of research and I know most of what I need for the swap, but I haven't found any answers to my last question, if I buy an engine/trans/harness/PCM from a junkyard suburban or pickup, should that harness fit without extensive modifications, or will I need a Camaro specific harness, and if that is the case, could I piece together what I need from a v6 Camaro harness?

These are what is left of the underhood harness.

I'm sure that not many have gone this route, but if anyone has any experience it would be awesome to get some advice. Thanks!

If you are good at wiring and harness modification, then you can use the tuck harness and modify it to match the chassis harness of the car. Otherwise I would save yourself the hassle and pick up a similar year car engine harness. From the little I have read, the main hurdles to using the truck harness are extending the PCM connectors to get the PCM to sit in the car location and if you are going to use the LS1 or LS6 intake manifold, you'll need to change out the injector connections or use adapters.

P.S. From the pics you posted, that engine bay looks pretty clean.

Thanks for the help! I actually ended up going to pick up a turbo manifold from someone and he happened to have a 5.3 with 2000 Camaro harness with intake manifold and all the accessories, he had just barely pulled it out of a car he was parting out, And computer and even trans! So I bought the lot from him! I got really lucky

Nice, that should remove a lot of hassle from throwing it all together. Good luck with the build.
