Default Front Passenger O2 Sensor Trouble

Okay, so I was driving to work today in my

1998 WS6 A4 ~70,000k miles (SLP Airlid, Long Headers, ORY, Borla Catback)

when I noticed right away the car was running like crap. It was pulling weird and the idle was all over. So I plug in my scanner, and sure enough... "Bank 2 Lean" and Bank 2 Sensor 1 was low voltage or whatever. My car won't go in to closed loop and the B2S1 O2 is just dead on the chart. Okay, so I jacked the car up, put in a brand new O2... nothing. It still reads dead! WHAT THE HELL! Is it possible I got a bad O2 from the store? What else does that leave me??? Should I try a new O2 extension or something?

YEP, I was sold a bad O2. Got a Bosch O2 from O'Reilly, and she idled perfect, codes are gone, both O2s are responsive, and she went in to closed loop.

Good to hear you have it fixed. Installing a good new sensor sure is nice than tracking down a wiring issue
