Turbo + Camshaft Match = NOT
Hi 18, the Turbo size is NOT MATCHED to the camshaft size.
I would use an OEM Z-06 camshaft with that turbo. (1220HP@22.lbs Westech Bench)

You'll need a very large turbine for that much cam. Durations like that are typically seen on turbo cams for 1200+ HP drag-only setups.
Start looking at T6 turbos.

Twin VNT Turbos
Hi 18, TWO of the model you have now would work fine, maybe a smaller Exhaust Housing A/R one that could be exchanged as your turbo is new. (69 or 81)
I would spec TWO VNT turbos for your fitted cam.
What is your MAX RPM/MAP ?
STATE your knowledge of EMAP

I have no knowledge of turbos Other than you want the straightest path for oil drain and a good supply line of oil to the turbo I know nothing about compressor maps Do you have fabricating background and engine building I have just never played with turbos or any forced induction

Pantera Twin Turbo Circa 1973
Hi 18, I have installed turbosuperchargers for 45 YEARS.
My first set was onto a Ford Pantera. (Circa 1973)
The ABOVE ADVICE is WELL GIVEN and SOUND.
MY QUESTION : Why do you ask for advice here at LS-1 Tech ?

I figured I壇 look here means it痴 an LS based motor and everybody seems to be quite well knowledgeable and anytime you go looking for anything on the Internet you see a lot of LS one tech sights given to healp find answers and so far everyone has Ben Quite helpful. It may seems that I may have to sell the turbo I have get a bigger one or buy the same thing and run twins I知 guessing. That or my other option is to stuff my stock truck cam back in my 5.3 and being my first turbo build I知 hoping some people will tell me do and donts with building a turbo motor

What GM performance valve springs are you referring to?
I would just sell the cam and get a z06 cam for $100 and use the turbo you got.
If you start trying to get a turbo to match the cam you're gonna open a whole new can of worms. With a big enough turbo for that cam the boost is gonna come in way high in the rpm range, then you gotta build the rest of the motor and power train around that.. gears, stall, valve train, rod bolts for higher rpm etc etc.
It would be better to use the turbo you have and get the right cam than try to build everything to one wrong part.
