Default which car is faster?

My brother has a 95 Z28 with Aluminum Driveshaft, CAI, K&N, Flowmaster, & 4.10's....I have a 2002 Z28 bone stock.

I ran him this weekend from a dead stop and won, but he had almost bald tires and he ended up letting off a bit so i could get back in the right-hand lane, cause a car was coming toward us, then punched it again.

If he had the same amount of traction and hadn't let off, which one would be faster (assuming reaction time was the same).

that's what i was thinking, cause i pulled on him pretty hard off the line....just wasn't sure if that was mostly cause of his loss of traction or not....

too bad that car was there....i wish we had a place nearby to really run 'em without having to worry about stuff like that....prolly the nearest place is in Houston, which is about 1.5 hours away (well, maybe less since now i drive a Z28 )

yeah, i'm not....he was just in town for the July 4th weekend, the first time since i got my Z28, and we wanted to run them against each other at least once while he was here....didn't wanna go all the way to Houston just to run them one time....

we made sure that it was on a pretty remote and not very frequently travelled road, and there were no side roads or driveways on the whole stretch of road that we were on....it just so happened that a car started coming as we were just getting going good

traction problems or not you have to imagine you're about 50 HP stouter than he is from the factory... That's a good deal to make up for! Once you get into higher RPMs the LS1 will own like a motha...

just to give you an "idea" of what your car might run in the 1/4 my bone stock a4 Z28 w/3.23s ran a 13.92 at 100.32mph at 1900+ elevation,at a VERY shitty track,in the nasty, hot, west texas climate.can anyone tell me if 2.2 and 2.3 60' times are normal for a stock 02 Z28?im trying to find an excuse for my car not running a little quicker.

the reason:
my buddy has a stock 00 SS and i yank him by a good car and a half on the street, but at the track i only beat him by .08-.09 secs.does that add up?im new,and VERY FREAKIN' HAPPY at the LS1 thing.

That's kinda high for an auto... There's guys in the austin club cuttin 2.0 in M6's on stock drivetrains... I would imagine you could do better, given the right track, tires, conditions etc.
