Race your car!

32 on the car by the time I paid it off w/ the intrest......about 5500 in mods. Track times to bannanas to mention, but it traps at a good MPH (109ish) I think that the Bogarts and race rubber I picked up last month, along with the 8 grand in additional mods over the winter should put the car to mid 12's, with no more power than I have now. (rear end w/ 4.30's, driveshaft, subframe connectors/strut brace, spec clutch, ripper shifter, shift light, shocks)

My wife told me to get a car I would stay happy with:
2001 WS6 23,000.00
extended warranty (65k miles or 7 yrs) 1300.00
Strut Brace 100.00
K&N 50.00
SLP lid 100.00
slotted/drilled rotors f/r 500.00
hawke pads 135.00
xenon light upgrade 150.00
stripes 300.00
16x8 Firebird rims (winter) 120.00
Pirelli PZero Nero 275/40 17 650.00
Yokahoma Ice Guards (for 16x8) 330.00
Total = 26,375.00
soon to install Loudmouth
This does not include maintenance (oil changes, trans fluid change, transaxle fluid change, fuel filter change, track cost, etc)
I am budgetting:
1000.00 for SLP 2800 Torque Convertor and trans cooler installed.
then
1500.00 for cam and head work
then another 1200 for suspension.
After tuning and such I hope I will be satisfied so I can start a project with a 67' firebird or 70' Grand Prix, hopefully with a 455...
And, I think my wife has her regrets with telling me to get a car I would be happy with

I ordered my car 02 SS 28.5K, with 1K rebate offered at the time, have less than 2K in parts, do ALL my on labor/installs. All the bolt on's with cam and on a crappy 2.0 60ft's run consistant 12.4's at 117 mph so far. I do installs on the side to offset monies spent.
