LS6 Intake cracked
I have this LS6 intake manifold, looking to repair it. cannot afford to replace it. it was cracked in shipping. Would plastic welding work? or what should I use? thanks for any help! also, what is the tube that attaches one the back next to the broken part? thanks for the help again.

Use a soldering iron and a black cooking spatula. They are made of nylon same as the intake manifold. Plastic "welding" at its finish. I did it when I smoothed a truck intake

I'd suggest going slow to avoid accidentally burning through if you go this way. Technically this is the best way to get it done though so go for it if you have the nerve.

Thanks everybody for the replies. I think I will try to plastic weld it. I think ill try to use some epoxy or just super glue to line up and hold the piece in place, and then melt the parts together with a soldering iron and more material. if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions, let me know! thanks!

I know from experience that melting super glue with a soldering iron produces a horrible smell and fumes that sting your eyes. I'm sure it's not good for you so I would avoid doing the super glue, epoxy might be similar. That said my guess would be melting plastic in general isn't good healthwise so maybe look into a mask.
