LQ4, 243S Cam motion little chopper
I have these parts left over from my other builds and just picked up a little 63 convertable nova that I was interested in swapping out. Im going to do a carb conversion.
These are stock 243s with spring upgrades, stock lq4 short block and the cam specs are
Duration at .050: 222/232
108 Lobe Center Angle with a 105 Intake Centerline
Lift with 1.7 Rocker Arm Ratio: .595"/.587"
Recommended Displacement: 4.8-6.2 Liter Engines
Cylinder Heads: Cathedral or Rectangle Port
Recommended Compression Ratio: 9.4-10.5:1
Do you think the compression will be out to run on CA 91 **** gas?
I got this cam for an ls6 build but ended up using a different one. I would like to avoid buying a new cam if this one will work just fine. The car is going to be something I just drive around on the weekends.

Yes it will run on 91 octane. The compression is plenty low enough not to have issues . With those cam specs it's a good thing you are going to run a carb.
