Ethanol fuel. Ok for stock LS1?
In the U.K. we have recently gone to E10 unleaded fuel (petrol/gasoline). Which is 10% ethanol.
Is this ok for a 1999 Z28? There has been some drama about some cars & vehicles not liking the increased ethanol content.
Thanks.

E10 is essentially what we have as pump gas here in the states. So you should be good to go with a car built with US spec gas in mind. It's been around since the early 90's.
"More than 98% of U.S. gasoline contains up to 10% ethanol to boost octane, meet air quality requirements"

We have had nothing but E10 fuel available in my region of the USA for many, many years now. In fact, I've never used anything *but* E10 fuel in my '98 Camaro since buying it in 2004. I have seen no ill side-effects from this over the last 18 years.
The bigger concern has to do with aging of ethanol based fuels, in applications where the fuel is allowed to sit (especially in a humid environment) without being treated. In this regard I have a great deal of experience, as my '98 sits quite a bit. I rarely put more than one or two tanks of fuel through the car per year, so I always keep it treated with fuel stabilizer, and I make sure to completely fill the tank prior to winter (4-6 months) storage. Storing untreated fuel for long periods in a tank that is only partially full seems to be the source of most issues.
