Default LS1 power question

What kinda power can the stock internals of an LS1 hold? Whats the max power you could get on stock internals without running into problems? Thanks in advance.

im no expert but id say 450-500 rwhp....
and not so much power but RPM.
rod bolts give out at high rpm 6500-7000

average H/C car puts down 400-425rwhp
can handle around a 150 shot of NOS
and can handle around 8 pounds of boost....
(but not at the same time, obveousley)

any more than that (if you can afford it )
you really should build a bottom end!

whats your definition of problems? and are you looking just for max power or reliability? as stated the rod bolts are the weak point, if you want the most power on the stock bottom end FI is what you want. most aggressive n/a packages start pushing the powerband higher and higher and thats when you run into the rod bolt issue.

Just to give you some reference:

My buddy had about 600+ on his stock bottom end, H/C, with 300 shot (I think) He never dynoed it but he ran a 10.6 @ 129 mph. Then he was out street racing and spun a rod bearing. He didnt have many miles on the whole setup either.

I've currently done 576rwhp/590rwtq on totally stock internals and should be over the 600 mark shortly. WHEN my engine blows, I'll do a forged, aluminum block stroker.

I've heard around 600 RWHP, and any more than that is pushing it. Of course stock internals won't keep the engine as happy as forged internals at that level....
