I have the fender but i cant find a bumper with camaro written in the center. I dont want to put the black grill back in and all the aftermarket bumpers are blank.

After some of the responses i decided that i didnt want to chance the repair messing up.

So impatently I went ahead and bought c5 rims and f1s and hp tuners

Now im low on cash but i think i still have enough to fix it.

It should be fixed as soon as i find a bumper. a jumk yard close to my house has a bunch but they wont sell them because they use them on wrecked cars they fix up. Im trying to talk them into letting get one.

personally i dont like the SLP grill, i went to the dealer and bought a new grill without the lisence plate bracket bolted to it ($40), and then went to thunderracing.com and bought some aluminum camaro letter inserts for the front grill, and now im thinking about buying the rear ones from ssinserts.com

(This has been awhile ago, so i dont remember conversations exactly...)
alright... a long time ago in a land far far away......

About a month ago or so, a new guy started working with me at office max (dont laugh, it pays the bills, kinda). As i saw him walking into work, I greeted him, and said welcome to the team

I am not management, but I am one of the most experienced employees so I have some authority

He said "Hey, Im Shawn... nice to meet you. Are there any ricer guys who work here?"

me: "huh... Yeah I guess, my buddy nick (pointing to the cash register) he drives a civic."

Shawn: "Good!.... thats my Talon out there! Its awesome

Me: "nice."

Shawn: "Man look at that Camaro sittin out there (points at my baby), that thing is ugly as sin, who the hell would be dumb enough to buy one of those unreliable pieces of ****! What a dumbass! Those thing arent very fast at all!"

Me: "That would be mine.... arent that fast?!?!?!?"

Shawn: "I dust those things all the time, I even kept up with a Z06 till fourth gear! I ran like a low 15"

Me "whatever" I decided to walk away

After all up to this point, it hadnt really been any different than anyother ricer encounter, but what comes next is what set it off!

The next day I found out that he had been talkin **** about my car to everyone, and he had also been tellin em that he could dust me!

I HAD HAD ENOUGH!!

Next time I saw him...

Me:"(sarcastically) Guess what shawn, i think the ugliest car on earth is a red 98 z28 camaro!, but those 98 talons, those things are ****** smooth..."

Shawn:"talons have some serious curves"

Me:"you're a deustch, lets race!"

Shawn: "not tonight, I have to drive to salina"

Me: "whatever... deustch"

Well somehow over the next few days he managed to convince everyone that he was right, except for my good friend Josh who has a 2000 Mustang gt 5spd which I have beaten, more than once.

I AM NOW PISSED, he has been talkin ****, and he has be degrading my camaro... not cool

A few days later as we were all leaving work, He was leaving about 100 ft behind me, so I figured id "paint the asphault" and I pulled a 15mph donught in front of him and just sat there as he drove by and did a 1st gear scratch (for like 5 ft)

note: he never commented about this... at least i dont think he did.

I forget some of the stuff that would go here, so ill just skip it, and if you are really intrested, you can just scroll back about a billion pages, oh wait i remember now

Me and Josh took our cars to the track and got some official numbers, I went so I could shut up Shawn, who said it was impossible for me to even run low 14's and Josh went cause he wanted to prove that his GT was faster. Neither of them were right. That day I ran a 13.77 @ 101.3 I thought this was a little lacking, but overall not bad. Josh ran a 14.3, which is really good for a stock 2000 gt mustang.

I posted my timeslip in the breakroom, for shawn, and everyone else to see. They havent talked **** since, except for shawn. He acknowledged it but, still thought he was just as fast atleast.

A few days later, a dude driving a tricked out Talon came to buy some ****, and Once again shawn got all cocky

That night he tried to show off when me and josh were outside work chillin by our cars, and he ended up drivin onto a curb, and he fucked his front tire, and his bumper. (his tire is now fixed, bumper is not) I helped him put his spare on, cause thats just the right thing to do.

Well about 3 days after that I followed him home from work, and got beside him to ask him how it was driving, and he floored it (we were going 40mph) I got a shitty drop cause its a dead spot, but his .3 carlegth lead dwindled in about 2 seconds and he was way behind by 55.

Thats about all, its been very abbreviated. He now respects LS1's, but he wants to improve his car instead. I respect car modification, but i think he should just start with a better car!

Well thats about all, i gotta go. Thanks guys, sorry for it being soooo long!

How do you like working at officemax.

I worked there for almost 3 years. It has to be the most worst run retail store in the nation. Compared to staples all of the plan o grams look like ****. The merchandise sucks. All the camaras dont work. They want you to sell max assurance on everything witch is a rip off . Altough I sold most in our district i was told to lie and say if you drop it ect. it covers it. It barely covers something thats actually wrong with it.

We had like 4 computers which is more than even memphis had so it wasnt like we were just a small store and they thought we could compete with circuit city?

I worked at the memphis store some too and visited the meridian store , maybe our district just sucked.

When that new company took over it started getting a little better but not much.
