Okay, I've got about $600 dollars. I was just going to throw an LS6 Intake manifold on the car and call it a day, but I've gotten some mixed signals on that one. So far all I had done to the car is the Lid/Cutout, and a Flowmaster. I will be putting in a very tiny cam in the next few weeks (I've already got it, just waiting till I move to put it in. I looked the some TC's, but they're too expensive. The Intake Manifold I was thinking would be good for a quick fix on power. I can't really do the header thing because I"m in Cali, and long tubes are a no-no. <------ The Man
Any sugestions? Thoughts? Bitches? Observations? Anything would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Save up enough for a torque converter. It is well worth it.

TCI torque converter. It'll be the best thing you can do for drag times. You can buy it and install it for less than $600 if you do it yourself.

I think I only paid around $400 for my Yank 2600. I have a py3400e also (which wasn't so cheap) but I like the tighter stall better for the street. Definitely a converter is gonna be your best bang for the buck, hands down.

I've thought about the TC a lot. My car has never been to the track. And while I do plan on changing that one of these days, it will still be 99.99999% a daily driver street car. I'll start looking into which TC is best for the street. I remember Colonel doing a TCI 3000 in a Vette, and really liking it. Which brand is tightest in general? ... .... I wish I was more compulsive.

That cam isn't going make the best power without getting longtubes, LS6 intake and a ported throttle body.

Go with the converter, then intake/tb, then headers, then cam.

Yeah, I can't get the LT's though. I live in Cali, and The Man says no.

You already have a cut-out so I'd say go for the stall like others hae mentioned. GMMG is not going to flow more than your cut-out open is going to flow. You'll see more gains from a stall than a LS6 intake, plus you'll have to get your EGR deleted. You can get an LS6 intake with EGR but why would you want to do that.

Peace,
Craig.

You have a cut out that's good enough for your exhaust for now(Cheapest), but not the best. As everyone has already told you, the ideal would be the TC, but if your pocket is hurting that much you might think about some gears like 3.73 or 4.10, but you better get some nice fatties for 4:10. That should be 1 to 2 hundred bucks less. Port your Throttle body if you haven't already.

I'd get gears and drag radials. That will not hurt daily driveability too much and you'll see a major difference at the track with 60' times and ET's. I recommend

Motive 3:73 gears from Thunder Racing

BFG drag radials (Nitto's suck).

if you don't go the convertor or GMMG route, then I would say:
1. Pulley
2. Gears
3. Then save the rest for some DR's
