My girlfriend can't drive a 6 speed. She wants to learn though, as she wants a yellow Z06 for her next car.

For some reason that's fine by me.

Yeah, I get that a little from my Girlfriend, like I give a ****, right. I think she actually likes it cause it draws attention. She just doesn't want it to do that when she's not in the car.
I'll by a new car eventually, but will always have my bird for enjoyment.
I Ordered the car and I feel it was built for me and on top of that it has brought me tons of luck. NEVER getting rid of it. Knock on wood.

OK on the point of the whole gas thing...did you tell her that if she was going to need gas in it that it would have to be PREMIUM? My present wife and ex-wife both never realized that it needed 'the good stuff', thank god I informed them. But then again the total times my cars have been driven w/out me there = 2. My ex was using the Z which I knew had a bad left rear rotor but was upgrading the set anyway and didn't care much about it. She was heading down a hill really fast because she was late and was pulled over, what does she use as an excuse? "Officer, something in the brakes doesn't feel quite right, I just can't slow like usual." He looks around the car, sees the brake and then ESCORTS her down the hill so he knows she makes it safely, then let's her go on her merry way. If I was to do the same thing I would have been told I should know better. My new wife has driven the SS twice once about a block after I gave in finally on the way to dinner (she didn't realize how close we were) and once about a total of a 1/2 mile so that she could go fill the tank for me since I was running late to work. Tonight though we are going to the track and I'm going to offer again to let her take it down the strip, last time she was feeling nauseus from the fumes. Hopefully tonight will be the big night...

i here ya about the car more important than me coment mine did it to me once she said i put too much money into the car and she said choose me or the car i knew she loves the car but i said the CAR man was that a mistake i nearly lost my head she was pissy for a week then i turned the tables i said fine i will sell the car then she was nervous thinking i was going to sell it well to make a long story short i still have the car and her, and she accepts that the car means alot. if they cannot accept what you do and support it they probably arent right for you. my g/f is my little 4' 11" co pilot i tell her hit the button she does it and holds on ya have to have the same interest to be happy. if mine bitched everytime i street raced it wouldnt work she dont bitch even after all the times i went to jail THAT SUCKS

That reminds me of an ex-g/f I had back in the mid-90s with my 2nd F-body (94 V-6). She asked if it came down to it would I put the car in the wall or hit her? She then looked at me and her eyes got real big when I didn't answer, she knew then...she would have to be quick on her toes. Gee, I really wonder why that one didn't work out?

Brian drives my car all the time. I am comfortable with him being behind the wheel but anyone else and I freak out. I really don't let anyone else drive. Brian feels the same way. I don't usually drive his car that often. The clutch in the Mustang is too stiff and his tranny was all screwed up in the Formula for the longest time. I am pretty **** about any bumps on the road or in parking lots. I think I have every "bump" memorized in this area. I have a routine on certain roads.
