Here's a great article on the future of Camaro. I believe this pretty much sums up all the "speculations" about the F-bodies. It mentions that the firebird is dead but I'd have a hard time believing that Pontiac wouldnt chime in at the last second.

That article has a part that pertains to the shift of the Pontiac brand to re-focus on "adult" cars..... probably to compete with BMW, etc. It is sad, but I doubt Firebird will ever return.

But a company as big as GM having as many employees as it does, is impossible to keep leak-free.
Exactly.

If the camaro was coming back that soon, we'd know about it already.

You are talking about having that car on the lots in about 18 months.

No way they are that good at keeping secrets.

Well from the looks of it, thats a pretty pimp car. By then my T/A will be well paid for. If this car comes out, it'd be tough to choose between the Corvette and the Camaro.

2007 would make a nice anniversary return for the Camaro. But Pontiac
may be too tied up in the goat to revive the bird. (Personally I think they
should ship that **** back down under and re-ignite the bird.) OOH
REAL SLY, Change the Grand Prix to look more like a Grand Am. Put a
01 Grand Prix next to the new goat and just scratch your head and say
WTF! GTO looks like what the redesigned GP would have except they
had to avoid stepping on Goat hooves. But I seriously would like to slap
the boys at GM for a few reasons. First would be killing the
F-body in the first place. Second would be releasing the GTO
with more stock hp/torque than any F-body ever had, as well as ONLY
releasing a V8 model (I'm not saying I want to see a V6 goat but only
it's what they should have done with the F-body when they released
fourth or fifth gen, since the 70s/80s economy craze was over.) And
lastly for whoring the supersport badge around to just about every
imaginable model. Just my .02 sorry so long. . . Fuming.
