I'm sorry, you're trying to use your e brake for a burn out on a RWD car?

Yeah, that could explain the burning clutch...

Another way to do it is to dump the clutch as said B-4 let the car roll a little & at the same time go full throttle & stomp the brake pedal with your left foot.
The momentum of the car rolling forward & then stomping on the brake will transfer weight to the front of the car. A smoke show will then ensue....
You can get good at it & barelly roll the car more than 5 feet & do this.
The key is to get the brake & throttle right. You should practice this out in a safe place, it is kinda funny to brake with the left foot. Wouldn't want to try this for the first time at the track......

the e-brake?? you're not in a HONDA anymore. read a book or somthin before you drive yer ride again.

after you've learned a few things, try it again.

im with wrencher, make SURE you hammer down w/ the throttle when you hit the brakes or it will try and kill it if you have decent traction.

Yeah, you have probably fried your clutch. If not already, it will go soon. What were you thinking using your ebrake for a burnout. Come on, use at least a little bit of your brain..

have some real fun. turn your stering wheel all the way in one direction, give it some throttle, then dump the clutch. make sure you have plenty of room though.

I'll freakin' bet!

Hope you got some good advice here.
I am with wrenchers' method as well. Thats how I used to do it w/ my old m/t.

"Hey you guys smell that? Not so much a rubber smell, as it is like a clutch. Hmmm, WTF?"

Sorry BlackLS199 I don't mean to rag, we all started somewhere. But I can't help but picture you in you ride "reefin' back" on your e-brake with all your might, stompin the gas and trying to keep your car from going forward and more than likely getting some strange sounds, smells coming from the tranny. All the time in your head going "WTF, I smell smoke but I don't see any coming from the tires?"

I am JRP. I said we all started somewhere and gave my honest .02 on how to "git 'er done". I just can't help getting a visual in my head when I think about it. Probably because I see myself there around 20 years ago. I just hope the cat doesn't need a new clutch

Hey guys is line lock pretty much automatic? Or is it only engaged when you give the brakes the light touch and give the gas the spider stomp?

i think you have to press on the brake pedal then press a button and it holds the front brakes only

You got it. You flip a toggle that applies a solenoid that holds brake pressure to the front brakes only. Then you turn the switch off to release the brakes.
