Wow I thought I had it bad 1100 for six months....thats with one road sign ticket, one seat belt ticket, 3 speeding tickets, one wreckless, license suspended once, and 2 accidents (neither my fault). But, Geico told me they were only really concerned with the HP rating, not so much my record.........my insurance jumped with this car versus my chevelle or third gens. So it makes sense with the HP thing. I'd say if you really had to sell your car, buy a chevelle, (keep the bench seat) and drop a big block in it. Its funny, it seems like chicks dig my chevelle more than my TA...........

 

thats..why if you see asome cop lights in ur mirror a long ways..away out where i live and ur street racing...u PUSH the gas to the flor and never look back...they got trucks out here..they are slow as **** ..

Then just change the exhaust and get an electric cut-out, if thats what the complaints are about. If its for driving wrecklessly? then U should just by a Honda

 

$3000 a year in insurance?

I didn't even make $3000 when I was 16.

I pay about 1/3 that, I think any more would be ridiculous.

 

this is the perfect opertunaty to learn a thing or 2 about cars....
like some others said, buy an older street rod. 5.0 muskrat, chevelle,nova ect ect ect.
for me it was a 1979 trans am , i bought it for 200 bucks, but i did my reseach first, i knew what i was looking for. i took a tape measure and insure the frame was strait, it came with a th350 tranny,someone had slapped a 12 bolt outa a station wagon in it with 4.10 gears and a old 350 out of a truck. . it ran but barely.
i got her home and tore into it.
built the 350 30 over it had a 4 bolt main, had the block mangafluxed forged internals steel crank , nice lopey cam, i spent 2 months practicing porting junker heads,then ported my own heads, had the th350 built strong ,
to this day only my 81 ta was as much fun to drive

man i miss the good ol days


dont pass this up and go ricer... build yourself something FUN

 

Get a truck. It'll still have a v-8 and you won't have to be a ricer. Or you could go the 4x4 route. Good luck.

 

if your looking to buy a 3rd gen. if got an 87 5.0 H.O., needs some body work and paint, and yes it is a camaro, i always say 5.0 and people think i mean mustang
