Thats cool, just let us know what it is. I did see something about a steering column recall a while back. You might try searching for that but I dont know if thats the same one you got.

I just did a search on NHTSA.gov, and I see only one recall for 99 camaro, which was issued in 1999, for a clutch issue. Nothing there yet. Wouldn't nhtsa have it up if one was issued?

Is recall work only covered if it inside the original warranty period or is it regardless since it is a safety issue? Labor has to be paid and parts are free outside waranty, how does that work? I would like to know as well since I bounce around so much I doubt Chevy will even get a notice to me.

If there is a recall it does not matter if you are out of the factory waarranty. They just have to send a notice to their known location and if you show up take care of it. No charge to you.
