I've topped out at 120mph in OD which the members at ls1tech informed me is 3rd gear. I have taken my car to 152mph before I had to slow down do to cars in front of me, and still had more push left. It was one hell of a rush no doubt.

In my 84 Chevy Celebrity I have hidden the mph pointer past the 115mph gauge car ran like a champ, toped out that car many time and hanged tough always.

Another one for 162 here....

I wonder if when I had my tranny rebuilt I had them swap in a .6 or so 6th gear..would that would make 6th usable on top end?

I have 4.11 gears so that helps too.....

and HOW IN THE HECK did that guy get to I think it was 198! In ORR.

He must have 2.73's and a six speed or something....

Raced a Trans Am on the freeway beat him by 2 cars, when I looked at the speed O, I was at 145 mph, so I figure I hit about 150mph. This was Stock.

Fastest I have been was the other day when i got my hp tuners and removed the speed limiter and had to run it up to 165. I pegged the speedo out but had my gps which recorded the top speed. I definetly wasnt looking down at it going that fast. It was later at night on my way back to college and i have a friend drive a bout a mile ahead to watch for cops.

Didnt take long to catch up either.

I've been to about 155, then chickened out. The Camaro is the only car I've had where I haven't hit it's top speed (or rev limiter). Old Mazda 626 would only do 110. My 84 5.0 did just shy of 140 according to my friend following me in his vette. (spedo stopped at 85)

dont know exact speed but I burried the needle past the 155mark and was still accellerating, full boltons and a z06 type cam, this was a 60 roll on in about 1/2 mile of WOT but had to slow for an intersectoin

Another Euro Z28 here. Hit 166mph (266 kph) on the speedo graduated up to 270 kph. I was short of space and had to break.

Since I've done several mods and I hit often very easily 160+ mph.

With a 2.73, It's a little under 6000rpm on third speed. Those LS1 are incredible and pulls still very hard over 150mph

ive done 150 and just put it in 4th in my a4. i max 3rd out at lik 145 ish and thats in the redline on the tach. duh of course hehe. i didnt run outta room like ya'll but for all the houston members 1 10 towards downtown isnt the best place to do it at. esp like 8 at night LOL.

Took my dads 2000 Toyota Echo to 105...it took several minutes, some drafting and a little help from gravity to do it, but it happened. Had the A4 92 TBI to 115 or so, I ran out of gearing so fast with that car, something was wrong. I couldnt finish the quater mile without redlining in 4th gear and the MPH was like 80.1 or 79.8. Therefore LS1...

ok whats up with that??? i might just have the winter tire package car but man i hope not, mines shuttin off around there and pisses me off, what can i do to eliminate my problem????

i have no idea how fast i have gone...
i have the max speed bumped up to 299 mph(yes i know it will never see that speed but it was the highest setting on edit i think)so it aint governed..
i have buried the needle on both the lt1 and ls1... the ls1 wanted more in 6th gear(4.11 rear 5th revs out)
but of the 2 of them... the lt1 felt much more stable at these speeds... the ls1 felt like it wanted to float off the road...

O.k.....my turn.

My brother's LS-1 F-body A4 pulled all the needle 'til it could not go anymore....if there was a limiter...he hit it.....the needle indicated 161....

I had my 94 LT-1 M6 bone stock up to 161 on the digital speed-o-meter.....w/ one of my friends on the way home from the bar at 2:30 in the morning.....very stupid...i know...... It was still pullin' strong and i did all i could to keep it in the middle of the three lanes.....i got scared when we passed a grand cherokee, or atleast i thought it was a grand cherokee and it looked like it was going in reverse....

My Y2K C5 Vert M6 w/ the top down was 138.....it gets very noisy and windy at that speed......

162 is the top speed for a T-Top or HT LS1 f-body. Don't know if anyone posted that yet, too la-z to read. I have done 156 or so in mine, still had more.
