Default Dynoed and ran 1/4 today

There was a dyno at a car show so I decided to give it a go. My car dynoed lower than what I expected. I had to shift from 1 to 2nd with tapping the gas to about 2000rpms. When I shifted into third the car bogged down some but then picked up (in dyno graph). After getting home to eat, I pondered to why it was slow and thought maybe my Ram Air Kit for the Ultra Z hood might be it. The hood latched so it wouldn't fly up but I have the flap under the airbox that seals the air from undermeath the car and two foam blockoffs on the side. Could this be why it dynoed low due to not enough air getting in or will it just dyno that low? The mods are in the list except for the headers and the weather was about 65. I used the horsepower calculator and I'm getting different horsepower ratings then what I dynoed. It says 327hp for my 1/4 speed and 290 from my 1/4 time. Why do I have 3 different hp numbers. The only other Camaro that dynoed was an 02 at 290hp with simiar mods from what I heard.
I also ran the 1/4 on the machine (in 1/4 chart). It seem very sluggish(don't know if it was due to the problem mentioned above). I know the 2.73s didn't help because it seem to die out when shifted to 2nd and when I hit 3rd it was really bad. I hit 3rd around 102ish and it took like 5 secs to get 110.
Thanks for any help that anyone has.

and that looks like a mustang dyno to me so your numbers will naturally be lower.

I tried to upload easier to see charts. It was on a Mustang Dynamometer. The car only dynoed 279hp and 304tq and ran a 13.672 and a 2.226 for the 60ft. I was hoping for 300hp and low 13s in the 1/4.

There were others cars that dynoed too. Thre was A PT crusier 225hp, Interga 315hp, Mustang GT 264 hp and the classic cars were between 250-260hp. I have no idea what these cars had for mods but wanted to give you an idea what others dynoed.

According to your sig the headers are not yet in. The smooth bellows and ultra Z hood will give no gains on the Dyno so really your an A4 with lid and loudmouth. Mustang dynos always dyno low so I'm guessing on a dynojet you would be in the 300-305 rwhp range.

13.6 on a 2.2 60' time is not that bad. Reason being is you can easily get that 2.2 down to a 2.0 with a little practice. Heck if I just mash the gas on green at my local track I'll pull a 2.1 or 2.0 every time. That right there will knock off about .3 from your ET and maybe add a MPH to your trap. I can easily see 13.3 @ 104.5 in your car right now. Then do that in cool weather (65 degrees or less) and I can see a 13.1 @ 106 without any trouble. Add the headers and Y-pipe and say hello to high 12's.

Your HP, and times with mods all sound about correct to me as well. Mustang Dynos are lower so that answers the HP question. Your 60' is only 2.2 - thats why your track time is slow. Knock off 2 tenths on that 60' and you will see low 13's with the setup you already have.

First of all if you have a 2.73 rear you must have an A4, right? In your post it sounds like your shifting gears manualy, don't do this, you can't outshift your computer. Secondly, with a well matched converter your 2.73s won't hold you back that much so it probrably wouldn't be worth it to change them, just save for a 12 bolt/9". My little 2.73 car was running consistant 11.4s in street trim last week, I hope to push it twards the 10s at track rental next Wen.

He's very right about that. I had 2:73s with a 3500 stall. Gained .50 in the 1/4. I recently switched to 3:42's and I gained .08 . The fun factor driving around is nice though. It will definately feel quicker and there is much less need to downshift though.

For the dyno run they told me I had to shift so it would measure the HP. I started in 1st gear like I was taking grandma shopping, then shifted into 2nd and still act like she was with me, then shifted into 3rd and nailed it. It automatically downshifted into 2nd but it hesitated for a moment then started to pick up speed. It shows on the dyno chart where it bogged. Thats the first time I manually shifted only because they told me to for only the dyno.
Also since I have the ram air sealing kit for the hood (its a rubber flap that connects the airbox to the openings in the hood) , would that have blocked enough of the air to make a difference because I think the hood blocked the air coming in front of the car?

Unless they had a fan blowing on your front end, or there was a nice gusty wind then the ram air wont be helping you much at all.
