am i just paranoid?
i bought my 99 t/a and it seems like it has a strange idle like its lower than what it should be
its idles AROUND 1k i say around because it varys from time to time
im sorry guys this is just my first nice car spent all my money buying it now i cant take it somewhere to have it checked out i just have to figure it out myself
i think if i just did a plug and wire change it would take care of it i would just like to get some other opinions
oh yeah any tips on easier plug change??

Plugs last 100K miles. Its going to idle different during warm up than after warm up. Idle is going to be controlled by the pcm; the battery may have been changed before you bought it and its just relearning.

1K is high. But the tach is not exactly to be trusted.
A wandering idle may be vacuum leak, among other
things. If the IAC is in charge then it will hold steady
and at a lower (650 stock) RPM. O2 sensors being
crusty also may affect idle (more "bounce"). But they
will not elevate the RPM.
You might get the "free AutoZone code scan" just to
see if anything's up, or you can start hanging out with
the local domestic late model muscle crowd (if you can
find one) and maybe find a buddy with scan or tuning
capability for beer.
