I loved that commercial with the black WS6 Trans Am at the traffic light. I knew I had to have a TA when I saw that. I love that aggressive front end. (granted my "regular" TA isn't as aggressive but I still love it.)

The good thing is that you can "make" your car just as aggressive. Just get the hood. Same reason why I didn't want a Stang, everyone has one. GTs none the less. GM never advertised Fbodies because the Vette must be number 1!!!. It's easy for Ford to advertise for the Mustang since its their premier car. Besides the GT supercar, which is 6 figures, the stang is more affordable for the masses.

thats hilarious! me and a buddy took a trip to TSP a little while back, and they had that problem in lubbock with camaros. i swear there were 5 on every street we went on. we cruised around up there for a while, taking in the sights, and it was all camaros. granted alot of them were V6, but i have never seen so many SS's in my life. Z's too. it would be very hard to make your car stand out there.[/QUOTE]

And we still don't have a decent track!
Did you notice that there are 2 cops for every camaro out here as well. Oh well, at least they are used to loud cars burning the tires...they usually look the other way unless you're racing.

Well, here in KS there's not really too many f-bods. I hardly ever see TAs. I've always thought that TX had the most b/c whenever i visit I see a LOT of them.

I totaled the 93 and bought a new 95 & traded it for my current 2000 Z28 w/ all options and it went for $28K new.
think i paid $26.

Great cars IMO!!
That doesn't make sense. The L98 wasn't ever availble with anything but the 700R4. It also was lastly availble in 92 as a 93 Z28 would have the LT1 with the T56...

Now unless you meant to say you "ordered the IROC new in 89 with the L98 and T5", that would make more sense, but it's still false that there was ever a L98 with a T5. It would of had to of been the LB9.

*deep into the 3rd gen vaults I go...*

I bought my SS with 17k on the clock and was also curious what it would have cost me new if you could still buy them... After some research, I added up the RPO codes and SLP options and came up wth $33,903 brand new. This was with EVERY GM option and a handful of SLP otpions including Center Mount Exhaust.

I have it broken down here: http://www.getawayperformance.com/ssoption.htm

Base price on the Z28 in 2002 was a mere $22,870. Awesome price to start an LS1 project

My window sticker shows the base price at $22,830. Anyway, no one should have payed 33,903 for an SS. Back in '02, GM was offering 3K in rebates and the dealer should have knocked some more off as well. The full sticker price on my Z28 was $28,520 But I got it for 24.4. I thought it was a steal.

Agreed. I was just looking for the MSRP. I don't think anyone pays sticker these days, unless you are going for the C6

A steal is the 2004 GTO. They are selling for 6k+ off sticker!

I gotch ya. But It may still be tough to plunk down for a '04 GTO when the '05s (with the LS2) are right around the corner.

Yep, all option Z28 bought for $24k here too. Sticker was the same, maybe a little more. hp per dollar was unreal for the Z's and formulas.
What's funny is that the few vette owners I've talked to actually brag about paying sticker price, the more it costs the better the car!

My Z cost $20,850 out the door in '94, bought through the AAFES system in Ramstein, Germany.
